About me
Vanessa is a seasoned Marketing and Sales leader with over 20 years of cross-industry experience, including Tech, Telecom, and Consumer Packaged Goods. She spent over a decade at Shaw Communications in senior roles across Brand, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Business Planning, and Product Development. Currently, she is the Sr. Director of Global Marketing at SMART Technologies, a Calgary-based digital learning and interactive display tech company.
Recognized as a brand builder, problem solver, and results-driven leader, Vanessa excels in change and is passionate about consumer marketing, digital, go-to-market strategy, and team development.
She holds a BComm from the University of Calgary and an MBA from York University’s Schulich School of Business. Vanessa is also a former Chair and Board Member of the Calgary Marketing Association.
